The whole India - Sri Lanka toured had been finished and after the whole series, here we will be discussing the positives and negatives of the whole tour and now let's find out was this series good for India or not.
Before this series we were guessing that after this series, it would be too difficult for Indian chief selectors to select the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup as youngsters will show their talents and will easily win against the Lankans. But not after this series it is clear as a glass for the selectors to choose the squad.
Positives
If we find out the positives then these are not more as In-Form IPL youngsters who were hitting centuries, half centuries and taking wickets can't continue in this series with that form as in IPL. But we can still find positives such as Prithvi Shaw's awesome hitting comeback as he gave many good starts for India in his presence.
Another positive is that Suryakumar Yadav has showed very good performance ✅ by which big iconic former cricketers are saying that after Virat and Rohit, he is the best batsman for India. And he should get this fame as when there was the need of runs, he made there so his selection chances for T20 World Cup is also increased with a huge rate.
Negatives
We had faced a lots of discomfort in this series as our favorite youngsters like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devdutt Padikkal and Nitish Rana can't bat well as their huge names in IPL. They all had golden opportunities for them but unfortunately they failed to grab them. A big reason for their failure is lack of leadership. Other than sir Rahul Dravid, no experienced were playing as if Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma would be leading the team then they could get a more help. But still in the upcoming matches, they will get chances as this was their first international series and it is too difficult for an Youngster to perform that much well in their first series.
Another failure or negative is Shikhar Dhawan as a batsman. In this series Shikhar can't play well exception in first ODI. And the reason could be a huge pressure on him as a captain as he had got the duty to lead all the young guys. But Shikhar Dhawan had performed well as a captain in this series.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar had also not bowled too well and Pandya brothers also can't dominate in this series. Indian fielding has also showed some gaps as some easy catches were missed by Indian Team.

So these were all the positives and negatives for our Indian Team. Indian fans should not feel sad after defeating against in this series as we had also defeated the Sri Lankans in the ODI series in absence of big names like Virat, Rohit and Bumrah. And if we see the T20 series, then we can't even think off that it was bad as the whole 11 left was played in the second and third T20 due to Krunal Pandya covid case so that was too difficult. But still in the case of T20 World Cup selection, we are still where we had left before this series.
