In year 2020, very few matches were played due to the pandemic. But in 2021, Team India will be too busy in their matches. Here's the schedule for matches that will be played by India in the upcoming year 2021. We will preview the schedule monthly.

• Test Series - India Tour of Australia
Match No. 3 : This match will be played from 7th January to 11th January in Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Match No. 4 : This match will be played from 15th January to 19th January in The Gabba and this match will be the last match of the India Tour of Australia and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

• Test Series - England Tour of India
Match No. 1 : This match will be the first match that will be played in India after the Covid-19 pandemic. This match will be played from 5th February to 9th February in MA Chindambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Match No. 2 : This match will be played from 13th February to 17th February in MA Chindambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Match No. 3 (D/N) : This match will be the first match to be played in the world's largest stadium Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. This match will be a Day-Night Test Match that will be played with a Pink Ball. This match will be played from 24th February to 28th February.

• Test Series - England Tour of India
Match No. 4 : This match will be played from 4th March to 8th March in Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad.
• T20 Series - England Tour of India
Match No. 1 : This match will be played on 12th March in Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Match No. 2 : This match will be played on 14th March in Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Match No. 3 : This match will be played on 16th March in Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Match No. 4 : This match will be played on 18th March in Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Match No. 5 : This match will be played on 20th March in Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad.
• ODI Series - England Tour of India
Match No. 1 : This match will be played on 23rd March in Pune.
Match No. 2 : This match will be played on 26th March in Pune.
Match No. 3 : This match will be played on 28th March in Pune. And with this match England Tour of India will be finished.

• IPL 2021
IPL can be held in the months in April and May in India. This time due to more than eight teams in IPL, IPL can be played in group format because if IPL will be played in round-robin format this season will take atleast 3 months to be finished.

• Asia Cup 2021
Asia Cup will be held in the month of June. This time Asia Cup can be held in Sri Lanka although the hosting rights of Asia Cup is with Pakistan.

• T20 Series - India Tour of Sri Lanka
Till now this series is not confirmed but there are many chances that this series will be played. Three matches in T20 format will be played in this series.

• Test Series - India Tour of England
Match No. 1 : This match will be played from 4th August to 8th August in Trent Bridge.
Match No. 2 : This match will be played from 12th August to 16th August in Lord's.
Match No. 3 : This match will be played from 25th August to 29th August in Headingley Carnegie.

• Test Series - India Tour of England
Match No. 4 : This match will be played from 2nd September to 6th September in The Oval.
Match No. 5 : This match will be played from 10th September to 14th September in Old Trafford Cricket Ground.
• T20 and ODI Series - South Africa Tour of India
South African Team will be touring India before T20 World Cup. Three ODIs and three T20 matches will be played in this tour. This series will be broadcasted on Star Sports Network.

• T20 World Cup 2021
T20 World Cup 2021 will be held in the months of October and November in India. This tournament was firstly hosting in Australia but after Covid the hosting rights were given to India. T20 World Cup will be broadcasted on Star Sports Network.
• New Zealand Tour of India
After the T20 World Cup will be finished then New Zealand will be touring India to play 2 Test Matches and 3 T20 Matches. This series will be broadcasted on Star Sports Network.

• India Tour of South Africa
India will be going to South Africa in December. 3 Test Matches and 3 T20 Matches will be played in this series. This series will last till January 2022. This series will be broadcasted on Sony Sports Network.
