The ODI and T20 Series was quite challenging for India. India was good in every phase except the opening order as Rohit who is the best choice opener for India was playing both the ODI and T20 series. India played with many opening pairs like Mayank Agrawal - Shikhar Dhawan, Shubhman Gill - Shikhar Dhawan and Shikhar Dhawan - KL Rahul but every pairs were flopped because the main pillar of the Indian opening (Rohit Sharma) was not in the squad.
Rohit will arrive for Australia in 14th December but still he can't play the early Test matches as he has to be in quarantine for 10-15 days.
It is a relief for India that Rohit will definately play the third and fourth test matches. Virat Kohli will only play the first Day-night Test Match as he will arriving for India due to the birth of his first chid. So only the second Test match would be quite challenging for India.
Rohit was injured during the IPL 2020 when he was playing for Mumbai Indians. After Rohit's injury he played some matches in the playoffs, in the final match against Delhi Capitals he also scored a half-century but as BCCI was not sure about his injury they didn't selected Rohit in the squad.
