In all formats of cricket, the most interesting format is T20 format as in this format we see that players score run in a very fast manner and this format takes the least time to play. T20 format is used while playing international matches as well as in league cricket. League cricket is a form of domestic cricket played in the T20 format and organised by a country. There are many T20 leagues played all over the world such as Indian Premier League, Big Bash League and Caribbean Premier League.
Almost everybody knows that IPL (Indian Premier League) which organised by India is the most popular and expensive cricket league in the world. But this is the only league in which unretired Indian players play. Except for this league in none of the leagues unretired Indian players play. But many people don't know that why do Indian players do not play in the other foreign leagues except IPL.
This is because BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) allows Indian players to play foreign cricket leagues only if they are retired. Means after playing foreign cricket league such as Big Bash League the players will be not eligible to play for India.
Reason why BCCI not allow players
The one of the reason why Indian players not playing in foreign leagues is to increase the popularity of IPL. IPL is the most successful T20 league in the world and BCCI want to increase it more and more and if in between Indian players will go to play in foreign leagues, the foreign leagues can give straight competition to IPL.
